When I was a teenager in the 1970s I was astounded to discover that there were once many Goddess-centred cultures around the world of which I knew nothing! Thousands and thousands of years of culture which had been suppressed or passed off as ‘primitive’ – I was shocked, outraged, and excited, keen to know more. This was the beginning of a detective mission to unearth this hidden information and reclaim my birthright, my power, my inspiration.

I devised A Course in Goddesses in 2010, creating workshops based around various Goddesses with whom I had a strong connection. The class begins with me imparting the information I have researched about the history and mythology of the Goddess, we then have a sharing circle connected to that information, then the activities, (we might make art, craft, writing, learn chants, make ritual objects, go on a guided shamanic journey), finishing with a deep sharing circle at the end. I set optional homework to extend the studies.
Each Goddess inspires a different experience; for example, the Tara workshop is based around a Sound Healing Ceremony using many ancient Tibetan Singing Bowls; the Epona workshop is based around a shamanic drum journey.

Jackie Juno’s Goddess sessions themselves were excellent and Jackie’s approach to leading the group was refreshing, she made it really good fun, made everyone laugh and managed to teach us alot about the goddesses. Jackie also gave us meaningful experiences through pathworkings and journeys, she is particularly gifted at this. The sessions were totally unpretentious, informative and richly experiential. Jackie is also a great storyteller, poet and musician and appropriately holds the title of Grand Bard, she wove these skills into the goddess sessions making them really effective. Over the years I’ve been to many workshops like these and had varied experiences, but these were really excellent. Jackie’s are down to earth and offer really intimate encounters with Goddesses andother like minded people. I d recommend Jackie’s Goddess workshops to anyone that wants to tune into themselves and to the Goddess energies and legacies.
